IMAX 70MM

Defy the Gods, or better: Defy the expectations of cinema! Just in time for the release of The Odyssey, Kinepolis Brussels ascended to the highest level of cinematic delivery and opened a 70mm IMAX screening room, becoming one of only 4 European cinemas to offer the exclusive format and unparalleled quality.

To mark this unique addition, Day One MPM organized a guided tour of the brand new 70mm IMAX projection facilities for the Belgian press. Inspecting the 17-kilometer long film reels, the enormous 70mm IMAX projector, and the vast 532 m² screen. To top it off, we created a limited series of 40 epoxy tokens with a piece of actual 70mm IMAX film stock inside.  The result was an astonishing success as the screenings were all sold out with more people than ever attending the cinema.
