The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
Snow lands on top
It is the morning of the tenth annual Hunger Games, and eighteen-year-old Coriolanus Snow - years before he would become the tyrannical president of Panem - is preparing for his one chance at fame and fortune. His once-powerful family is struggling, and everything depends on his performance as a mentor during the Games. Unfortunately for him, Coriolanus is assigned to mentor the tribute, Lucy Gray Baird, from poor District 12. Inside the arena, there is a fight to the death. Outside the arena, Coriolanus begins to sympathize more and more with his tribute. Their fates are intertwined, and Coriolanus must choose what he feels is more important: continuing to follow the rules or doing what is necessary to survive.
